Are there any metal detectorists out there that have had experience with Pulse Induction/box/specialty metal detectors? I would and I'm sure many others would like to hear of your experiences with these machines. Looking at the high prices and from what I can see from Utube clips and other posts, I get the feeling that perhaps they are overrated in their abilities to search much deeper than a regular minelab or another quality metal detector.
Or perhaps the displays and graphics they give may not show images that adequately define if an object is worth digging a 2,3,4,5 plus foot hole just to find a nail or bolt or? I realise that there is no such thing as a foolproof detector but when you pay that amount of money, which would also be a good down on a car!! it should be able to give you some fairly decent returns for your money! wouldn't you agree???
I want to go even deeper than my Safari will allow but am very hesitant to shell out $4000-$5500 (or more) for a PI or even more for a specialty detector only to find they may go 2 or 3 inches more than my metal detector goes.
I see many P.I's on Ebay that are near new and yet are up for sale only after a month or so of ownership giving the impression that the buyer found out the machine is not much better than a regular metal detector???
Please give us your feedback! Thanks!!
