Pulse induction or pure B.S.?

I do believe that Heathkit did the off-resonance thing before AH pro.
When A H pro arrived C Scope Quickly introduced the TR 600, the VLF 1000, and the VLF 1200. These were truly awful detectors that were soon abandoned. After a few thousand were sold. You could do that in them days. The great attraction of these detectors from a manufacturers point of view was that the coils were easy to make. Just a single coil.
