Purchased An ACE 250 & a Pro-Pointer

After reading a lot of good info on the ACE 250 and how it was really good for the beginner to I went ahead and purchased on that should be here by Friday. Then I had a few well knowledge individuals on here inform me that I needed to also pick up a pro-pointer. So after about a week of looking I purchased one last night. Its used but only used once and in excellent condition.. it was only $89 so I got it which ended up saving me some money. But as soon as they both get here I'll be heading out in the late evening to start learning this great hobby I'm so excited to start. Thanks again for all the info and pointers its help and without it I would have never of known which MD to get and certainly would have never have got the pro-pointer. THANKS!

God Bless

Use them in good health Friend!

There are lots of small bits of metal that can be hard to find and the Pro-Pointer has really saved my sanity when it helped me find them.

Good advice (I've learned from others):

Go slow!

Play a while in "coin" setting with sensitivity at 3 or 4! (This will allow you to get a "feel" for how the signals work!)

Keep an eye on battery level meter!! (You may swing the coil along over a lot of ground and not realize the batteries are too low to allow the machine to work!)

Earphones use less power than the speaker and the batteries will last longer!

Have fun!

I use both the ace 250 and pro pointer, I also use a garrett gtp1350, ace is alot of fun to use. Only problem I have had with the ace was the external speaker, will send it in for repairs!

You got a good machine to start out with. Welcome aboard and we will look forward to your success and pics of your finds. Good luck.
