quattro swing

Just ordered a quattro.Read some reveiws and it sounds like it needs a slow swing to get good depth. Is that correct? Thanks

As with the Elite and Explorer's, the Quattro will find deeper targets if you use a slower swing. This helps you to hear those faint, deep targets. Depth is generally the last thing you master, so excersize patience. Work slow in trashy areas too. Also, I recommend getting Andy Sabisch's book: "Mastering the Minelab Quattro." It has 105 pages of great information and pics. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Am a slow swinger by nature so a Sov. or Explorer is my cup of tea..Noticed one of our better Explorer users seems to swing a bit faster and gets as many and as deep as anyone..Younger fellow with excellent hearing sure helps..I have noticed on an Explorer using fast and deep at same time lets you swing a bit faster but cuts the audio reponse a bit. On the whole indeed a slow swing is recommended....don't own a Quattro but am sure Andy's book will cover that area..
