Queen Elizabeth the Second on a Harley?? Found this item in low tide mud at the beach this morning.

Another humid day at the beach.... where's that rain?

Could tolerate only 1 1/2 hrs. out there...found clads, two detecting buddies, and lots of sun.

In the 50', 60's and 70's this beach that I hunted this morning was a haven for motorcyclists....

the road ran close right along side the beach sand..and on any given day one could see 20-30 or more motorcycles lined up at the beach

then came restructuring of the entire beach and surrounding areas, and all motorcyclists were ( and still are ) prohibited

I think this item is a piece of that history

don't know the connection between : Queen; Cross; Harley( I think it's a Harley logo..not entirely sure ..don't know anything about motorcycles)

First two pics are before cleaning. Last pic is finished product...I think the metals are brass and aluminum..pretty sure on that.

Don't know if this was part of a necklace, a key chain ...or what

p.s. at first glance of the wing, I thought I had another fishing lure in the scoop; thought those "feathers" were fins.......:smoke:

thanks for looking

not the same, but similar to the one found in Zagatala, Azerbaijan ...I'm sure just an inexpensive copy...the back of the medallion is not remarkable.

but I think it is so old, here is a video of the motorcycle with which this item may be connected
