Question: A Gold Bracelet That Is Invisible To Detectors

I have a question. I have a Whites Classic, a DFX and the Surfmaster PI. My wife has a small gold bracelet that you can place in a small ball, lay it on the ground, stretch it out or bury it 1" and NOTHING can find it. I have tried the PI with full gain and not a peep. You can lay the thing on the coil and nothing. It acts like its plastic. Any clues as to why it won't show up?? Every other piece of jewelry hits.... I remember buying it Italy 4 years ago and the lady at the NATO base said it was 22K....

your detector will only read it as to size of one link, if it is very small will not read it, is oddity of link objects.

None of the three machines that you are using are designed to find small gold items. Get a MXT if you want to be able to detect your gold bracelet. While in California this summer, I found a gold nugget the same size as the ear on the Roosevelt dime.

...with the preamp at 4, the AC at 78, the DC at 55, Autotrac offset at +1 and +2, Recovery at 30, VDI sensitivity at 85, Disc accept all above -30 to +94. My DFX and Bigfoot will pick up the thinnest gold chain my wife has at around 3" this way! If you try to detect it in Best data, the dual freqs think it is salt due to the usual thin gold chain VDI of around "0" being equal to salt, I get NO response in Best Data!
On the Classic, turn "on" the Black Sand switch, set to minimum disc and max the sensitivity, you might get it then!
Let us know if this works!
