Question about coils......

Old Katz

New member
As you probably know, the ACE 250 has a sniper coil 4.5 in. Is there a small similar coil for the 505
and the 705? I've seen the 6inch coil and that seems a bit big for some of the trashy areas I have been at.

The 6" is the smallest coil for the X-Terra line Katz. HH TomB

6" DD coils will get the job done in trash and near metal poles. I used the 4" on Silver uMax and when you hit a target you know it. 6" is the same picking coins from trash. Just cut the gain back so you can get closer to poles and metal objects. Depth is not quite as good but I dont need it in lots and by backstops. Most coins in my area are 3 to 4". LOL

Have went into a trashy site that I had cleaned out using the stock coil on my XT-70 and doubled my total amt. of finds using the 6" DD HF coil. So I don't think there is any real need for a smaller coil on the XT's and the 6" DD coil will give that extra depth ( + 6" ) which can come in handy at times...

Hummm. Now why didn't I think of that? Probably because I got KAT brains.
