This is my first post ever anywhere and have a question. I have been detecting for about 1

First of all, if you can swing that 18 inch coil all day long, remind me not to arm wrestle with you. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> I don't know that tape will protect the coil from rocks or sticks, but a couple layers couldn't hurt. Just make sure the tape is non-metalic. Plain old Scotch black plastic electrical tape should be fine. Nice thing about using tape. It is cheap and easy to replace if it gets torn. Again, let us know about the coil's performance and how the tape works out. HH

Will let you know how everything turns out and what kind of results I get. I'm glad its a stupid idea... does anyone know if there will be any type of cover coming out for it soon.
I got it from kellyco and they did not seem to have any covers.
Thanks.

JW at Kellyco told me that they have made arrangements for the coil covers to be manufactured for the 14 inch EXcelerators. You might give him a call, but I would bet that the 18's are coming too. HH
