Question About The F2

I'm still pretty new at this and am trying to figure out the machine, but more of you experienced users probably could help me answer this.

I get close to a target and I get a number and it will stay on the screen I have moved at times 5 ft away from the target area and the number and the target ID is still there, if I go to Pinpoint the target I won't get a reading on where its at. Am I doing something wrong, should I be moving away from the target area when this is happening or should I be trying to Pinpoint the target, note, there is no signal bounce when this going on and the numbers and target ID along with depth are still the same. Any help would greatly welcomed, mnteer.

The number will not change until you hit another target.....

If your swinging the coil it should constantly update VDI with new targets. It well pause on the screen for a few seconds if no other target and been detected. Sounds normal.

Thank you so very much for the information. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, I didn't understand the that the machine was telling that target was desirable and that would be a good place to look.
