I was wondering if when swiching the xprobe to pinpoint, does this turn off the visual display, not sure if hooked up right.Of course would not probably need meter readout during pinpoint.Could you give advice if correct. Just received in mail and snowed in,but air tests are very very good. hh ojm bc

the S1 probe is the very best probe ever created, and yes it still ids the target when the probe is on , but if you mean while it is in all metal then it doesnt id the target, just like the main coil doesnt id in all metal .....

When calibrating the detector for the coil, then switching to the probe while in disc the ID may not be correct on the probe. This is OK as the Probe is not for IDing targets anyway, but there are a few post every once in a while where some will say the ID is off on the Probe.
In all metal the meter too will work, but not for IDing and the only thing I see it does is signal strength, but you have that with the audio to know how strong the signal is of a target.

When I use the Winburn Avenger 180 meter the coil and probe read the
same. When I use the minelab 550 meter the probe reads about 15
points higher than the coil.
