Question for Reg.

Frank-S

New member
Reg I am thinking about get-ing a White TDI,
Is there any way to tell if a target is ferrous or non ferrious metal.
Thank Frank.

Hi Frank,

The short answer is yes, but you have to adjust the ground balance control to be able to tell. Also, when all iron is a high tone, you will only be able to detect high conductor objects such as silver and copper coins which will be low tones. By selecting high conductor, the iron will be ignored and only the high conductor objects will sound off.

There is a lot written on the Finds TDI forum as to the adjustments and what to expect. I recommend people read what is on that forum to get a better idea of what can be done.

Reg
