(didn't get instructions with the used probe so have been guessing what to do).
When using it in the hole to find an item should I just flip the switch to probe and pretend I have a mini-mini coil or do I flip it to probe then hit the pinpoint button on the EX2?
Or doesn't it matter? Because both should pinpoint a target seeing as it is a mini-mini coil so to speak searching the hole?
At first was overcome by all the sounds the EX2 was making...then I realized I had to flip the X-1 switch to coil instead of probe
duh.
Was in digital screen and trying to (mentally) determine what was a keeper signal...lots of rusting stuff buried out at the ghost town.
Since all I found was a '67 dime I was lacking on good reference point. All those high tones turned out to be aluminum items. Guess I better get out my test strips of coins and do some practicing.
Had a lot of fluctuating numbers in a small area so guessing I need to go even slower and use a smaller coil to pick out the goodies from the trash and rusted items.
Almost feel I should be asking these questions on a bunch of other forums but I know you guys so can trust your answers - and know you guys will answer. (Not being 'known' on the other forums I probably wouldn't even get any answers.)
Thanks for the help Brothers...if you prefer you can PM or email me:
