Question for you fresh water hunters !

What is your favorite coil for fresh water hunting and why ?

8.5 X 11 DD

5 X 8 DD

9 X 12 Concentric

I have not used my AT Gold in the water yet but ...
here's what I am thinking.

Using the detector in the water being a new thing for me,
I'm going to use the 5x8 coil that comes with the AT Gold.

The pinpointing is real easy with and and for that reason
alone, I'll stick with that coil.

Something to consider anyway?

I have a dicey shoulder and much prefer the 5x8 because it swings easier for me.

Isn't that big coil hard to control in moving water though, like creeks??? I can see using it at a beach in freshwater, or a pond...

HH,

So far I'm using the stock 5X8 that came with the AT Gold. Easy to swing in the water and so far it's hitting the jewlery. Pinpointing hasn't been a problem. I do plan on getting the 8.5 X 11 DD for more coverage and depth when dry land nugget and coin hunting. I'm now interested in the 9X12 concentric if it ID's caps better.

Could you imagine if someone came out with a Bigfoot style coil for the ATs...like a 18x3 ???
Killer!!!
