Question on Magnetometers

I know this is a PI sight but you guys are a collective Brain on the tech side of the MD hobby. Can anyone offer any suggestions on a good magnetometer and perhaps on a cesium magnetometer? I'm unsure about brands other than the Fisher FX-3. Fisher had a new one out too for double the price. Thanks.

Hi John,
Have a look at www.schonstedt.com and their GA-52
Eric.

I was interested to read this thread so went to the site you suggested Eric. At the very end of the user manual it stated that the instrument would not detect non-magnetic materials such as gold, silver, copper, lead or aluminium, so little use for most of use!
