I'm on my second one, bought a new one when they came out and wasn't to impressed with it's performance. Thought i'd give another a try, i like the features and the weight, anyways , when i hit gb, i don't get a smooth threshold tone, sounds more like morse code, doesn't matter where the sens. is set or the area, so i know it's not interference. Had this on both machines. Is this normal? It doesn't feel like i'm gettin a good gb. thanks

That's the way my machine worked in Baton Rouge but it worked text book like in Las Vegas. I think it must be the ground. Make sure the ground is free of targets and reduce the sensitivity down to about 8 or 9 before gb. Tune your ear up real good because it may still be difficult to determine the gb.
