Question? Plastic Coil to Lower Rod Bolt...

Mag99004

New member
Haven't been on in a while. The wife and I finally moved out to Utah from Idaho so I can go back to college and finish my last year of coursework I had put off. I seemed to have lost my bolt that connects the coil to the lower rod. Has anyone found a generic replacement piece that can be used for that? I don't want to have to wait on ordering another one if at all possible...

Good luck hunting.

Home Depot carries plastic bolts and wing nuts in the hardware section - you should be able to find one that fits correctly. If you don't have a HD then go to a hardware store - they should have one too.

Erik:

Thanks, thats what I was thinking but never having looked for plastic bolts before I wasn't sure if they carried anything that fit.

You're welcome - I needed one once and got one that fit there for my XS. Hopefully one of the employees should be able to show you where they are. I think they're actually called nylon bolts/nuts and you can cut the length of the bolt fairly easily, just thread the nut on first, cut it, and unscrew the nut to fix the threads if need be.
