Question Ref. The Quattro

cx3

New member
Is the noise cancel function and the ground balance function two different functions?

Jerry Murphy

The Noise Cancel is your means of ground balancing the Quattro. By selecting Noise Cancel, it goes through and picks the best frequencies for the current search site (which is why your coil should be on the ground while doing it).

If you're in an area where the ground conditions change, use the Noise Cancel to update your settings. And of course, EVERY time you change your settings (Relic, Coin, or a Custom one you cross saved)...hit it again.

Hope that helps!

Lokigrins is correct....Let me add

Noise cancel...Easy term is that it is an auto freq. shift. When you first turn on the detector it will quick pick a freq. and to optimize noise cancel. All it will do is choice where you have the least RF noise.

If you are running in semi-auto you want to boost the setting allowing the detector to set the sens. where ever it feels it can run. This will allow it to raise and lower as needed. For the maxium run in manual.
