I cut my trip short and just came to my business workshop. All the new Garrett coils have these connectors that are marks TUV and other
writing, they are different from the connectors that they have been using. I just started trying my 9*12 1350 coil today.
Anyway, the male was so tight I thought I was going to rip the control box to pieces and after three stops and breaking the detector
down I knew something had to be done.
At first I thought the plastic was binding but I noticed the male
was shredding the plating off the female pins.
Take something pointy that will snugly fit into the male holes - I used
a wooden sticked Qtip out of the first aid and sanded a point.
I worked it around a bit in each opening the holes until the connector worked on and off smoothly.
Bottom line - don't flip out it is just the pins in the male end
are really tight. I checked the 7*10 and they are same way.
