Quick hunt last night yields older coins(finally!)

When I got home last night, I intended to go out for an hour...but ended up 2 hours.

Thought I'd try a different place...around the benches of one of the "new" baseball fields. I was just looking for more clad. First dig yielded a '66 dime and a '56 wheat penny. A short time later, I found a '35 mercury dime.:detecting:

This baseball field is located on, what was, the end zone of the the old football field.(Where everyone used to park their cars to watch the games). Guess I'll have to hit the old end zones better...AND try to remember where the bleachers used to be.

One odd thing???? I had 2 zinc pennies register as 42. Maybe because they were in REALLY wet ground???

Congrats on finding some older stuff. As to the zincs, I've also noticed that they read much higher on the TID when the ground is wet. I don't know how many I've dug in the early spring, thinking they were going to be a quarter. HH Randy
