Early on in my hunting, back around 2002. I got offered to hunt around a old farm house before it was knocked down. At the time I was using my new Garrett Gti 1500. Started in the front not much, did find a Wheaty some copper Lincoln's and the usual crap. Better luck in the back ran into a Silver Rosy. Not much going on till I spotted a few old abused Apple trees. Didn't take long got a good signal, not all that deep, maybe 6-8 inches. Digging down a ways hit some decaying wood, turned out to be about the size of a shoe box. Real sweet signal with something rattling around in there. Gotta tell ya, I was getting rattled too. Carefully opened the box and dumped the contents. Out slid some mangey fur, a pile of cat bones and a Silver tag with. "Fluffy" stamped on it. I could feel the heat of embarrassment and guilt shooting up my neck. I Dug up Fluffy !! No one around, but it seemed like a hundred eyes were on me. Put everything back as best I could and got outta there.
