R U a Nascar Nut?

DK

New member
Anyone out there like Nascar? Just thought I would ask. As for me I am a Jeff Gordon fan. I follow Tony Stewart, some as he lives close by. Met Jeff at a Billy Graham a few years back. He had a great Christian testimony back then, but fell away from the Lord. He listened to all the wrong people. Jeff has now come back to the Lord. Pray for him and all of the other Christina drivers and crew, that they would be a witness for Christ. I became acquainted with racing, when I lived in New Jersey, where I was a custom fuel cell technician for ATL(aero tec. laboratories)

My driver was 20 now 14! Hard for me to see a rookie drivie the #20! I also like Bobby Labonte, and Mark Martin.

Nope.....Ma doesn't care too much for racing or sports in general, but glad you met and he has come back to the Lord! I pray that he and all the others do come to Him and know Him personally as their own Savior and be great witnesses for Jesus! Amen! God Bless! Betty

his 68' Shelby Cobra Mustang has it's sun visors autographed by Bill. He has two 4'x6' lighted display cases of models, mostly Elliot Nascar, and then some Cobras.

I just cannot understand the attraction of it all. As a teen & later I rebuilt cars, ran at the drags, had hot rods, etc. Steve in so az

Nope! I don't like it - AT ALL! But I absolutely love college football. You know what they say... "In the South, college football is a religion!" Nothing like spending a Saturday afternoon/evening watching college football. Years ago I (and all of my family when I was growing up) attended all of the Alabama home games but then decided I'd rather stay home and see it on TV. My favorite teams are: Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU. My sister graduated from the University of Alabama. I went to Jacksonville State University but don't really keep up too much with the football program there. I think they usually do pretty well though. I also enjoy ladies college softball, baseball (especially the Atlanta Braves), and tennis. I used to play tennis back in my younger days and won quite a few tournaments. Too achy, stiff, and FAT to play anymore. FYI - for all you race fans, the Talladega race track is only 40 minutes away from my house.

Nothing wrong with all them sports! Except maybe tennis!
I love football, coached softball, helped coach football and baseball, and Talledaga track is one of the best! Very fast!

That's him tryin to "catch" the cars at Fontana.(sorry for the bad pic,i had to really hurry coz he's camera shy)

Sure would have liked to seen Eliot Sadler take the Daytona 500.
I also thot it was very uncharacteristic of Jeff to use up his car chasin Matt Kenseth sunday. Jeff has been my favorite driver since his first race in Winston Cup.The young man truly has talent

There is a sadness comin to NASCAR tho. I've noticed this year that it isn't as "Family Oriented" as it used to be. The commercials during the races so far this year have really moraly deteriorated. :sadwalk:

Oh yeah, and what' up with Mark Martin ? Why did he come out of retirement the season after he retired and go to work for Rick Hendrick ? What did i miss ?

I like nascar alot sometimes I have to weight it and detecting. And like Lisa I am a big sec football and basketball fan . I guess being born and breed in kentucky it is second nature.
