Racer 2 coil question

Hey Guys. wanted to know if anyone has used the NEL Hunter coil on a R2 and been impressed with its performance over stock coil ....thanks in advance hh joe

I tried it, and it did ok, but it made my R2 too nose-heavy, so I sold it.

I tried one on the beach dry sand for a bit more coverage. It was OK. Without the coil cover on it, it weighed the same as the standard 11" coil with it's cover installed.

I have the CORS Scout that I use for forest hunting with My Makro 2 for the extra coverage. In my opinion though the Stock coil for the Makro is superior to this Scout, but I've also heard that you need to go at least 15 inches with a coil to see any noticeable depth improvement with most machines.
