Racer 2 /tornado coil

First hunt and it was good, ground quite mineralized,74 for GB, I'm still crawling around the yard of the 1850 farm house.The tornado coil works well in the iron for being a big coil, can't see a date on the Buffalo nickel but a '46 and '56 wheat with the '36 Canadian and '47 dime.

Thanks Tim. It runs stable, has fairly good separation and depth. Someone took the power lines down to the barn, so lines are hanging causing high emi issues, kruzer or anfibio in three tone for stable running, I could run the gain to 99 on the racer 2 with the Tornado coil and it was still pleasantly stable running. I hunted with gain of 95.You want to turn your gain down when ground balancing these coils, then up to hunt with.I GB'd at a gain of 60.The earring looking thing looks to big to be a earring, but on the small side for a pin.Funny thing is I know I passed over them with the kruzer/anfibio and never got the banging signal I got with the tornado coil.That bigger iron eyelet thingy was 15" deep. I couldn't tell if it was a forced iron signal or a masked non conductor.It seems as though I shpuld know by now for as much iron as I've dug chasing iffy targets.

Someone missed them but probably got tired of listening of the square nails. I pulled a spoon, some other copper bits.It's raining again so I am too lazy to go get my pouch of junk out of the truck.The iron really drags the signal down unless they are somewhat isolated.I love finding Indianheads but this back is toast, nothing but green corrosion.

Biblot, you better get your magnifying glass out and take a real good close look at that wheat pennies date. If indeed that is in fact a 1943 COPPER wheat penny, you might as well go ahead and plan you a trip to Disney land because that it one rare coin!!!!

I knew that a zinc is 1943 but it didn't register as I was looking at it, You are right, its a 1945.

on the IH cent: use enough water to cover it with baking soda, and hook the negative to coin and positive to piece of scrap---will do wonders on corrosion.
Just watch it and inspect periodically. After wash it off and coat with light oil.

I am still comparing small coils. With the same settings and gain, My red racer pared with a oor coil will display id at depths the red racer pared with the Cors shrew cannot. It does detect the target but instead of an id number, you get the - - instead I need to switch the 2 coils and compare again.
