I did a test using a mineralized granite Cobble the stone is about 9 inches long and 4.5"x4.5" i ground balanced on it and it GB at 87. no detector yet has got thru this one in disc very well i put a nickel under it and using the small OOr coil in two tone sense 75 i got the high tone both ways, my other two tone machine would only low tone . I found myself saying. this machine is different. I tried the three tone at 85gain and had to slow the sweep and only got it one way so the two tone has an edge in the minerals

I just got my Racer today and am very anxious to give it a go.Detecting here is done for a while due to recent snow today. That was a very interesting test you performed I'm going to have to give that a try. Thanks for sharing.

1.. The stone measured 9" Long, 4½" Wide, and was 4½" Thick, correct?

2.. Was the nickel placed under the rock, dead center or close to the edge?

3.. Sensitivity (Gain) was '75' in 2-Tone and '85' in 3-Tone, right? (Remember the two modes work differently and the 2-Tone, by design, has more power than 3-Tone.)

4.. What were the ID Filter (Discrimination) settings used?

Thanks,

Monte

Sounds impressive Gunnar! Would you be able to provide a video demonstration?

the nickel was placed right in the center. I.D filter 10 - and Gainof 75 & 85

VIDEO OF THE EVENT the Fact that the racer got any signal is very good , with the I,D filter @ 10 i know if the Id filter is at 0 you get a low tone with an aocasianal high -My Vista Gold only made a low tone on this and it is a two tone machine hear is the Video
