Racer Environmental Cover and LED light functionality

Using the LED light in the late evening on the beach with the Makro Racer would be a nice feature for me. However, I watched a youtube video of the Environmental cover on the Nokta Fores Core and it was pointed out the LED light becomes non-functional when the cover is on, due to no cut out or window to allow the light to shine through.

Will the Environmental cover on the Makro Racer also make the LED Light non-functional?

The Cover is clear vinyl on boths sides so the light shines though well..

I may also add the way the have the bulb extend's out slightly it allows for about 180 degree coverage compared to the Core thats about 120 from recession...
