:rage:Time for me to goto school, somebody explain how to pinpoint with the HH PI 11 inch loop.........

Cause it appears after 15 years of hunting I forgot how . I tried the left side, the right, the nose, and even tried the edge! Does someone have a diagram of the PI field as it extends from the 11 inch coil??? The machine is wonderful, i'm just having fits pinpointing the target.

R-n-R....told you you need a WIDE scoop ! I still have a hard time with the 11 inch...that's why I use the 8 inch more. I find it kinda easier to slowly sweep backwards until the signal gets faint, and then move it forward until it's louder and then it's near the nose of the coil.

Keep at it....you should find it easier as you go along.

Pinpoints the same as the Goldscan V2 SS, 1) Shallow or deep targets, drag the edge of the loop back as " therover" explained above, or 2) use the loop vertrically and x with the edge. 3) This loop does have sort of an upside down cone shape. so pinpointing shallow or deep or really deep targets is usually done with lifting the loop higher and higher while circling the target, until the target is just a tiny size sound in the middle of the loop. If you are at the beach in the wet line and a pinpointing a very faint target and it disappears (nulled out halo), try stomping the spot with your boot to bring the target back (sometimes). Happy hunting....How.

I've been getting used to the 11" on my HH PI. I swing my coil back & forth, advancing a few inches forward with each swing and I note where the loudest sound is. I turn 90 degrees and do the same thing. I can get pretty close that way. A shallow target starts making a sound before the coil is even over it, but I hear the most distinct sound when I am directly over the target.

Multiple targets within a foot of each other is tougher. I try for the strongest signal near the outside of the multiple target area and get it out of the way, then I work my way in.
