Rain again what's going on? Omega finds.........

Should have went water detecting yesterday, errands got in the way. Planned on hunting the water this morning, water temp is now warm. Got up, some wind, rain was in the forecast. Some what cool and very overcast out, could rain any minute. I opted for a school yard hunt with the Omega, one I thought I cleaned out carefully with the Tesoro Eldo.
Hit the school about 6am, started finding pennies, some pull tabs, more pennies, then an occasional dime and nickel, then a quarter, a toonie, some more pennies, then out pops a ring, the rains started. Now about 8am, went to the protected area of the trees, a dime, a few more pennies and another ring. Then a cache of coins near the base of a tree just as you walked into the wooded area. The cache contained about 15 pennies, a nickel, had to dig between the tree roots to get them all. Started to rain harder, so I left a few targets there. The rings were cheap alum. ones. Oh yeah found a pocketknife and a couple junk pcs. of jewelry. Every thing is still in my digging pouch.

Sorted out my bag o goods.
The pocket knife is a Buck 525 gents folding knife with the raccoon scene, blade is signed. Probably worth about $15.00. Just cleaned it up

After I dug it , tossed it into my pouch, thinking it was just a junky little cheap pocket knife.
After emptying my pouch at home opened up the black and noticed the word Buck USA. I know Buck knives are great knives,
decided to look it up on the web..................It was a nice surprise to find out that I dug something special besides the usual.

Way to go Sven, the Omega will be my off season purchase :)

Nice find. Buck knives are not of the cheap variety. Oh, I'll take all the rain you can send my way....and some of the cool, too, would be nice. HH jim tn

Thats at least a 30 dollar knife...those little bucks are nice, I lost one in the mud at a little lake 5 miles off the road in MN beaver trapping 20 years ago, I know right where it is, and unless I ever get back up there with a metal detector, it will be lost forever... Nice finds! :clapping:
