I know this question has been posted before but i guess I'll ask it again. Is there a cover for the excel? Dosen't even need to be made for the Excell? Anyone found something that will fit it?

This is a great question. I know Fisher had covers for some of their units like the 1266x etc. The Excel having the same size box as a 1236x, that might work? Or the 1266x had a smaller control box too so that may work too? Maybe a Fisher dealer will see this & let us know. Or maybe I'll present teh question to Fisher directly.....HH, Bill

if the old style rain covers I've seen on say the 1266x's would work on a pinpoint pad unit? In other words I think the covers zipped over all the dials & the PP trigger being on the outside nothing was affected. With the Excel ya sorta need acccess to the faceplate in other words.....I'm beginnin' to think Fisher should design a new one especially for the Excel.....

In the UK, Walborn makes covers for many popular detectors. They have them for the CZs & 12XX series but havnt seen anything for the newer stuff yet. As you mentioned in an earlier post with the touch screen, to be efficent they will have to be made to fit like a glove ..wildherre
