Rain ran me off from stone school after 20 min. but took some pic.

How old is that school?

late 1800's?

I'd be there the next day pounding that baby early in the morn

It and the little town was built in 1869 or so after the Cival War as the first town was burnt to the ground. The original town had a similar school and several buissneses before being totaly destroyed. The new town was moved a couple of miles and This fall I am going to try and get permission to hunt the burnt site that is just timber now. This was a bad place to live during the war next to Kansas state lin.In the final months of the war there were only 18 men tough enough to stay and survive on there land in this county.

I would not be surprised if someone has not hit this already. It is basically standing their as a beacon for MD. :detecting:

I would be even more interested in hunting the original location of the old town. You are bound to find a ton of stuff there. You might have to dig through a lot of trash but it will be worth it. Just keep that in mind. A small coil of good quality will be worth its weight in gold so they say.
