Wife was doing the garage sale thing with a friend this morning, so I headed out early to try for a little silver. Was out on the field shortly after 6 when it started to lightly mist. Put a baggie over the screen and within the first 10 minutes dug a modern bullet. This particular field never has had a lot of targets. Save, for the occasionally iron grunt and some trash item, ones detector can be quiet for extended periods of time. Such was the case again this morning. About 45 minutes into the hunt I got a mixed tone, mid and high, hit with numbers bouncing from the low 30's well into the silver range. I kind of like those type of hits as on occasion they lead to a coin spill. And, such was this case with this hit. Flipped over about a 4" deep cut piece of sod and immediately saw the corner of a grey disc. down in the hole. That turned out to be a silver Rosie. Checked the hole with my pin pointer and ended up recovering another Rosie, 2 wheat cents and a nickel. That turned out to be all my coin finds for the hunt as about 15 minutes later it began raining harder and I headed to my vehicle. The 2 Rosies were a 54 and 56d and the wheat cents were 38 and 47. Hope you all are able to get some digging in. HH jim tn
