I went back to my spot today. Spent about 4 hours there trying to avoid the local 4 - 7 year old kids that want to help you dig holes. Thank goodness I was by myself. I kept digging everything. $3.68 in clad plus I found two Coin-Buttons. In the Pic on the top. Then Popped the Weird ring thing. Marked with writing. Dates from the late 1600's to Early 1700's.It has 2 dates one from the 1692 and the other I cant really tell. 17 something. Next was my oldest IH dated 1874. Neat old Knife was next.I was not discriminating. Lots of pop caps pull tabs....Very agrravating.Second row down was my find of the day. I think its some sort of dog tag from the 1700's. Still in cleaning was broken when I found it. It was about 5 inches away from each other. Then came a silver crucifix from the early 1800's.Marked 1840 . I then found an 18k Ring ...YIPPEE... The third row down on the left was under a large tree root. Its a button marked with an eagle that also says" EXCELSIOR ". To the right of that was a sliver of a colonial coin or token. Easy diggin. Then the cracker jack type ring ...ROSCO city. BUT a ring is a ring is a ring. To the right of that is a silver coin chunk. Hard to read and Im still cleaning it. The rather large "WASHER" object is a token from the 1790's. Marked Massachusetts . To its left is a Token or a button with what appears to be an eagle. Lastly to the far left was just a sterling charm. My day was so great . I love metal detecting so much. I cant wait to upgrade to a 2500. Imagine the goodies I would find with that Beauty. I cant wait. Happy Hunting to all!!
I am going to hit a spot that slopes very steeply down to a small river. Right next to where I found all these Goodies. Wish me luck.
