rare backmark

I have a single piece eagle A button with shank intact 100% gold gilt on back and 50% on front. Now my question is about the backmark. The backmark reads *Hardy & Co* Warranted. I cant find anything on this at all. Can someone help. Was told it is a very rare find.
 
sounds like a good one, I've never heard of it and I can't find it in the tice book, sorry. Is the button a one piece convex?
