Rather a mixed bag this morning.

Headed out to a big park this morning by myself as two of my hunting buddies had other things in mind. One was going out of town and the other, Chris, was going to anxiously wait for the brown truck to deliver his new F 75 LTDSE. As you can see from the pictures, I recovered a variety of finds this morning. After parking, I headed to a area of the park that I recalled had had some dirt moved around several years ago and some new shrubs planted. I decided to work around several of the shrubs and trees and recovered the 42 Washington quarter near one of the shrubs. A little later I ventured out onto a big field that my buddies and I had hunted on a few days ago. Along one side of the field is a small bank that folks walk down to go out on the field and is bottle cap and pull tab paradise. I decided to work the bank for a little bit with the LTD and small coil. This is the area that I recovered the 1910 V nickel....from about 3" deep. Also got what I thought was 3 wheat cents and didn't realize that 1 was actually a 1899 I H cent until I got home and was tooth brushing them off. It is pretty in pretty tough shape, but an I H, non the less. Out in the field is where I got the made in Thailand 925 silver ring and the 1940d Mercury dime. The wallet and little car were eyeball finds that I spotted laying under a magnolia tree. I suspect the billfold may have been lost, then found and tossed under the tree. Not a thing in it. Also got my first buck and ball for the up coming relic season. Everyone have a great weekend. HH jim tn

Yes indeed, a nice day. I see a lot of pics on the internet and wished my coins came out of the ground in that good of condition. Yes, what Indians I have found are usually in rough shape.
