last and probably only 1916 Merc found was in real good condition but no "D". But on that same day found these other coins too. Surely I cannot complain.
Besides my 'grail' coin is still gold! :)

After telling my uncle about it, He said that some of his Cousin's got ahold of his Dad's old money and were playing with it out in the yard, He don't know if this was one of them, But thought it could have been. It more then likely was because we don't have that old of money being found here in North Dakota. Oldest I ever found beside's the half was a 1893 Barber Dime and a 1883 Indian penny that were in the same hole.
 
I'm still looking for the D too. I've found two 1916's and one 1916S. Initially, see the mint mark on the 1916S about gave me a heart attack... :lol:
