Hi Tony,
The Aquapulse coil is not suitable and it is not shielded. In the electronics, the transmitter/ receiver circuits are not designed to run faster, and the coil would be overdamped by the circuit values. Underwater detectors for diving are generally manually adjusted (no motion mode), which again is less suitable for short delays and high sensitivity.
