We have3 had a similiar spate of mails of late regarding falsing mainly when getting water between the coil and its cover.
Many of the old hands have beaten the problem using a good quality RTV sealant.
Run the sealant around the coil side push on the cover and wipe away the surplus sealant.
Run a wet finger over the adjoining edge and it looks like a factory finish.
Give it time to cure say 48 hours.
No more dirt or water can get in.
If you need to remove the cover its no problem and RTV will wipe off using white spirit.
I hope this hepls you guys as it has helped us.JerryBristol.UK.
