It will do fine at the beach, most coils are submersible but take care not to let any water get to the control box, That would be DOOM for your mxt.
Using the stock coil on the beach try the relic mode disc on 2 trigger in center position ground to track or salt and run as much gain as possible and dig all high tones, the target ID can get off in the sand
