Re: This was a lot of digging folks for the last month and a half or so... not everyday mind you...

Here's a load of stuff I dug in the last month and half, boy did I do a lot of digging in my hunted out park, and its what happens when the silver starts to dwindle and not much is left, unless you hit again with an E-Trac and get the really deep stuff, which I'm planning to do when I can afford one...LOL. Look through the picture, there's a lot of different goodies in there, the racer I posted as a special as I did the 1916 merc... HH.

This spot produced the most Indians for me, at least 45 of them, will post them one day when I can get them all together...

If you are using an Explorer, you might get an expensive lesson about depth. The Etrac may be a good machine, but i dont think depth is one of the strong points it has over even the XS. If you have learned to get 9 or 10 inches of depth in tuff ground with your current explorer id say thats pretty darn good. Do your research and talk to people that you trust and will give you an honest opinion of the Etracs depth. I think its more ease of use and TID they like. I know your pain about trash thou... i had 3 coffee cans worth of junk i dug and was going to show the ration of finds vs trash from my last 3 months.... but the trash just got too much.

i agree with dew. i ran an explorer II before i got my e-trac. ive pretty much hit almost every site i got with both machines (the ex II first of course), but depth is very similar. the e-trac does stand out of the crowd tho on target seperation, especially in high trash, due to a faster processor. what seems to give me more "depth" is a larger coil. i use a WOT coil and im happy with it. i'll be honest...i;m not sure if it is any deeper but it sounds off better on the deep targets. i think the coil saturation is broader, rather than deeper, allowing for better target ID (simply because it is under the coil longer).

anyways that is quite a pile you got there!

That's a heck of a lot of digging. Besides the silver, there are some neat finds like that nice skeleton key. Did you find any tokens?
