I found this deep in the woods where a road went and an old lake that is now all grown in and had an old school it looks like a pin the back has what looks like a pin I baby make it all out it days lad...ster in the middle it has what looks like an a or s with a few letters I can't see and Boston on the bottom it is about an inch and a half and was about 4 inches down. I put lad ... Because I can't make out the letters in between any ideas what it is
 
Hey Croaker, Nice find, but I have looked at it over and over and think that it might be either a company name on top, a company that is in Boston. Because that is very typical of how they would show it. I thought at first it was Lancaster, but there is too much space in between the word. The other idea is that it is a persons name on top. Like Croaker.....Boston. I have found similar mysterious badges and medals but cannot figure them out. Glad you are out there though...havent been out yet. Keep on...
 
Very nice find Croaker! I am in agreement with CrazyJoe. Been searching all kinds of different letter combinations, nothing so far. If you can get a closer pix in macro, that may help.
