The plan was for FT to loose the T2 as soon as they aquired Fisher anyway!
Course the Fisher purchase bailout was not known about at the time the T2 was being explored. Since the T2 was nearly ready for market and since a lot of stock items were already Primed, painted and fit for assembly. Some T2's had to go to market to cover the losses.
Some consumers will have to pay for this by asorbing the loses themselves. Sorry if you can't afford a New F75 you got your T2 without a small coil!
With FT's realizing that they were purchasing Fisher they had already planned on the F75 being a Quality Top End detector to take them into a heavily mandated detector sales market. Competition being as steep as it is it was hard for Fisher to meet sales goals. With the T2 success in marketing and sales skyrocketing, Ft found that it would be better to drop the T2 which has issues pending, and bring out the F75 improved model under the Fisher Trademark.
This would mean that the T2 issues would eventually solve themselves as consumers would wear down and eventually become frustrated with the service. With the model being dropped issues would not be as problematic, But sales would continue under the F75 Fisher Trademark.
Heck why else would a company make the consumer pay for it's losses, think about it?
Now some would say I'm nuts....hehehe but really I love my T2 and wouldn't trade it for anything!
