Received my Teknetics LTD

Moonlightrick

New member
Finally received my LTD today at 3:40 after waiting all day for delivery. A nice light, well-balanced machine. Can't wait to get out and use it. Marcus from Regton's told me that I'm one of 35 in the UK who has received one. They sold out right away, and the next shipment he will get in has also sold. So, hopefully they must be good :detecting: Will post again when I have been out, I'll let you know how I got on.

Yep got mine this morning,am having the day of tommorow will try on a field Ive been on quite few times with minlabs (etrac / se pro) so will be interesting to see how she performs.I must admit air testing was impresive as a quick test in the garden,
Mick

Looking forward to your reviews, you guys get some amazing finds in the U.K., things we can only dream of in the U.S.

Please post a report of your T2 LTD and pics of the good

Went out this morning with LTD. Boy was it windy! Gusts of 70mph so not ideal conditions. Was keeping a weary eye on the large oak trees as I detected under them, the branches waving frantically. Anyway enough of the weather report.
Found the T2 a pleasure to use after ground balance put it through its paces and was impressed at its sensitivity to small objects.
Found the usual buttons, small lead etc, and not far from a gateway recieved a nice signal in the 80s, dug down a good 12 inches to find two very worn coins, one being a Georgian halfpenny, the other not sure but could make out the number 2 on it along with the letters ROM. I think the coin is silver ? Token ? Was surprised at this find as this area has been searched heavily with Minelab Explorer.
Question, am I pleased with my new purchase ........ Answer, a big yes

Question, would I sell it ........ Answer a big NO

Roll on the weekend :detecting:

I am not supprised that the T2 out did the Minelab explorer. I have found the same with my standard T2 model fitted with a 12x10 SEF coil. Try that with the Ltd Edition I should think you will get even better results.

Since using the T2 LTD found that it leaves the Explorer in the shade especially on small objects, had a nice strong signal that gave a digital readout of 79 and up from 10 inches came a 1912 silver 3 pence. This was from a site that has been searched by numerous machines including the Explorer XS. I have now designated the Explorer for beach work as I like multi frequency on the beach but on land my T2 LTD rules, its so sensitive. If you can put up with ground chatter please run it on Sensitivity 90 Discriminate 4 Tones 2+ you will not miss a thing, this is my favorite setting which I now always use.
Just to add, I have been metal Detecting for 38 years now and have watched machines come and go and at the present time this is the best metal detector that I have ever used

I have a standard T2 fitted with a 12x10 S.E.F. coil. out did my Cibola which in turn out did the Explorer ! Has any one of you used the BOOST and if so did that make that much difference?

What is so great about teknetics T2 NON LTD that someone would pay OVER 2,500 dollars for one on Ebay? they only cost 999 dollars.

The reason is the African and Russian gold rushes. Some one found gold with the T2 and everybody had to have one.

I normally hunt in the settings as I already stated SENS 90 , DISC 4 , TONES 2 + . and I only use the boost when I get an iffy signal, the boost mode then nails it. Maybe I should alter my search technique but at the moment its all a learning curve and a pleasant one at that.
Also just to add finds are not to prolific at the moment because the weather has been such crap in the south east of England.
A few dry days and I will become more active . :detecting:

Hi yer Mick, I'm on the Kent & Sussex Borders, the nearest coast resort is Rye.
So where I am has a fair bit of history.
Think I might have read some of your postings on Rogers Relics ?
At the moment waiting for some better days, got rained off yet again while detecting the other day.
Will post some photo's when I get some decent finds, got a few good sites lined up with my mate, who uses a Laser Hawkeye.
So compairing the two machines should be fun.
Bye for now........ Rick :)
