First read the manual, this is a different kind of animal. I'm a relic hunter so I selected all metal, checked targets in operator choice, notch out foil. All tested targets from buttons to Minnie's and of course plates got double digit depth in the air test..If you like to find jewelry select the JL mode, this might be what your after. Dont expect ot find any high conductive targets in this mode. I tested many gold rings and what was nice was the smaller gold rings had a better response then did large bulky gold rings but all were detected once again at double digit depth including my wife's 3 carat platinum. Small gold coins like my one dollar coin was detected also.New coins , old coins you can test those. One thing I could not find was a light for night hunting so unless I missed something illumination does not mean light for night hunting. Help me out here, Bill. Nu ff said for now. Snow on the ground in Richmond but not east of here. I think I'll pay a little visit to the Army of the James this weekend. It is not an ID Excel, more like a CZ combo, with a very unique jewelry program and plenty of depth.

be sure to let us know more.....
sorry there is no light. The original spec sheet said there was, but this was supposed to be changed. I guess I'll use my C$ for nighting...
HH, Bill
