Remote question

How tough is the remote? Has anyone ever dropped it onto a hard surface? Not that I ever plan on doing anything like that, but..............stuff happens.

:yikes:

Pretty tough, but I wouldn't test it.
A hunting buddy of mine dropped his in a parking lot on the asphalt and fractured the screen.
It was still under warranty and XP replaced the screen for no charge.
He's been a lot more careful since then.

I'll just bet he has !

Thanks for the response.

Mine is in a rubber case from the factory. Hopefully it won't get dropped, but if it does, I think the rubber case will take the shock. Not gonna test it on purpose. HH-Mark

The most likely problem is scratching the screen. After doing so, I went to Best Buy and bought the celluloid like sheet used to protect a mobile phone and cut it to cover the screen. Problem solved.

In the UK we have adhesive film XP controller protective kits.

They are also in attractive patterns and affordable.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

You can also purchase the front and back covers from XP without breaking the bank, most of the components on the Deus are replaceable (bar obvious things like the internal electronics).

It's tough, but I would still protect it with a cover. I recommend Thesaurus Detecting cover for everyday use.
