Remote Signal Interference (in Case)

This may be a silly question but having no knowledge about electronics I find myself at a huge disadvantage.

I have been looking around at protective covers for the remote, I have noticed one a fellow sells that for all
intensive purposes would be my best guess a waterproof plastic case for a cell phone, has a rubber gasket
and comes with a clip to attach to the stem. Seems like a good option if you were hunting in a place where there
would be a risk of damage or dunking, have to be a set and forget for the most part because once in the case
the buttons would not be accessible without opening. Now after all that my question is being in a hard case would
it interfere with the signal from the coil ?

While on the cover topic I have been told the silicon cover from Deus its almost impossible to see the screen through
the silicon . Any opinions ?

Thanks

I have the silicone cover and hate it, I am also searching for the perfect protective cover.

Guys
I've seen one working in an aquarium. Not a good idea but seen it. I've hunted pouring rain in UK with a sandwich bag and rubber band works great. One box of bags and rubber bands last a life time. If your not in the UK and need everyday cause you paid a bunch of money go home its no fun in the rain.Talk to your wife she will be surprised.

There was thread here a good deal back about cell phone cover like this that is silicone on the front so you can use the buttons. Best solution for your dilemma. I don't have the patience to wait for the search engine here but someone else might find it for you. Check this out

Thank You

I did a search on this and it looks to be the cats meow lots of protection and the ability to use the buttons
what more could you ask for.

I had the same question. I did buy the Deus silicone cover and I don't like it. After much searching I found that a 3" x 5" plastic bags works great. They are available on eBay for little money. I've tried the 5 mil bags but find them a little too thick. I've switched to a 4 mil bag. Works for me.

As I just posted on another message the Aryca WS12 seems like a good choice for making it waterproof and offering protection also comes with a strap that you can loop on the shaft so if the remote gets knocked off you don't loose it. I found a site that sells them for $10 + shipping just waiting on an email to see if they will ship 2 for the same shipping price (I am in Canada so shipping is $20 US) Seems way cheaper then anything i saw on ebay or amazon. In the other message it was mentioned about getting a clip to attach it so that is what I am looking into now, many seem to use the supplied protective cover but I like the picture of the one this fellow got on ebay.

All the Best

I used the cover that was supplied with the Deus from XP and it worked fine. Be sure to order the Aryca with the correct inside dimensions.
