Rephrasing a question

Has anyone noticed when using a 3khz coil a much greater difference in finding silver? are they deeper? What sizes does minelab offer?

Yes. The LF coil is HOT on silver and copper coins. (lower frequency is best suited for high conductive targets and higher frequencies better suited for lower conductive targets) The 3 kHz provides a bit more depth in my soil, compared to the MF or HF versions of the same sized coil. For folks that hunt "by ear", with zero discrimination or in All Metal, the LF coil also provides a distinct "harmonic" blending of tones on deeply buried iron.

At this time, the 9-inch concentric is the only 3 kHz commercially available. JMHO HH Randy
