replacement gp 3500

Hello everybody,
I'm Mathieu from France.
actually, i use a GP 3500 for coin hunting in volcanic or highly mineralized ground.
i would like to replace my GP 3500 with a another PI system who permit me to find more coin than using the Minelab 's PI.
do you thing that goldscan 5 is better than GP ? what are the significantly difference between a deepstar 3 and a goldscan 5???
and goldscan 5 have a better iron identification than another minelab PI (GP series for example)?
thank for your response and excuse me for my "little" English!!!
Mathieu

I'm nor certain "better" is the correct word, but the Goldscan 5 would certainly have the edge as far as ID'ing. The iron non-iron ID mode works a lot deeper than the GP3500, plus the coil on the Goldscan is waterproof.

The Goldscan 5 can handle noisy areas better, and it's not generally bother by most electrical interference. It can get bothered, but not to the extent the 3500 does.

Oh did I mentioned it's considerable lighter ??

ok thank.
but in %, what are the difference in all metal mode or id indentification mode for a little coin with a GP series???, 5%, 10 % more sensibility than a 3500????
in %, how much id iron mode loses sensibility compared with the all metal mode?
thank you
Mathieu
