Replacing Deepstar Battery with Nickel Metal Hydrade batteries

Eric, I'm in the <IMG SRC="/forums/images/flag.jpg" BORDER=0 ALT="USA">. and purcased a new Deepstar a few months ago. Serial # 0006084. I would like to put the Nickel Metal Hydrate Batteries in it. Can I purchase the new batteries in the US? and just replace the batteries it came with?. If yes please give me some exact directions as to what to ask for to make certain I get the correct ones.
