New member
Hi. can anyone tell me how you replace the shaft locking nuts on the Minelab Excal 2 ?

Many thanks.

hi kurgen. is it same as on Sovereign?

Hi. I couldn't say. I suppose all minelab locknuts might be the same. I ended up cutting the locknut off. But I was wondering if this was normal?

Yep, cutting is the only way I know of to remove them.

Go to Indian Nations or contact Plugger about getting a shaft lock replacement. The kind that you tighten like a wing nut.

Thankyou for the input. I have managed to cut the old locknut off and replace it with the mentioned plugger wingnut type.
