how do you find that your finds are progressing?
in salt or fresh water ?
and how deep do you keep the stem ?
i am planning to use it in water this week after the wire addition

whats the maximum distance you can have the end of the antenna to the control box that you find?
its a nuisance to have the end of the antenna taped to the back of the control box, i need some distance between them

I contacted XP USA and asked if their antenna would give more range than the home made ones but never got a response.

Just tuck the end of the Aerial into the back of the controller unit protective cover. Jerry.

I ran my snorkel wire up the shaft and had about 2 inches sticking up above where the controller normally sits and then had my controller in an Grace Eco Pod Waterproof Case on my waist and sometimes strapped to my arm, so I would say their is about a 1 foot distance between the top of the snorkel wire and controller and it was working fine. I have only tested it in fresh water so far but it was dead on with finding coins. I pulled 23 coins out of a river in about 2 hrs hunting time with that set up... unfortunately none of those coins were old just clad but at least I know the Deus is a great fresh water machine.
