Returned to Garrett

Been having trouble with chatter, which has been getting worse. Also noticed lately that I have been having to Ground Balance more frequently too.

After emailing and receiving a persons name I called him at Garrett. Told him the problems and what I had done to try and correct the problem. He immediately decided there wasn't anything else to try and there must be something wrong. Got a number from him, and I mailed it off, UPS. More expensive than FedEx, but I don't like FedEx leaving a $660. machine on the doorstep.

Gonna miss it, but I have the ACE 350 for backup.
 
I'm lucky enough to work close to the factory. EXTREMLY nice and helpful people.
 
Well, better to bite the bullet and get it in top shape! Glad you have a backup.
 
Not sure I want to detect until I get the ATP back. Just isn't the same. A hunting buddy has been sending photos of rings today.

The only time FedEx leaves anything on my doorstep is if it is raining. They usually leave the package at my front gate which is 250 yards from my house
 
Garrett should have it today. I do live only 3 and 1/2 half hours from them. If it would be fixed that day I'd bring it myself.
 
They didn't pay for the shipping? What in the... I had to return a detector(cheap mp3 pro that i got with the BOGO sale) to kellyco and they paid for the shipping. It was nice. You think Garrett would do that.

I didn't ask, and they didn't offer. Why did you return yours?

Went out today to relearn the 350, definitely different than the ATP. Did find some clad, but it sure doesn't pick coins through the trash like the ATP.
